Security Officers Full and Part Time Start Immediately!

The benchmark of American security has an immediate job opportunity for a Floating Armed Security Officer in West Palm Beach. As an Armed Security Officer, you will conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior), control access and egress, monitor CCTV and alarm systems, compose reports, deter criminal activity and misconduct and perform other duties as specified in post orders The Floating Security Officer may be called upon to work irregular shifts at times with little to no advance notice to cover call offs, vacation leaves, and/or extra coverage requests.

Job Type: Part-time • Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour Candidates need open availability to work any shift and any day.

• This job does not have a permanent set schedule. They demonstrate excellent judgment, remain calm under pressure, and take initiative when responding to security situations. They communicate clearly, uphold high customer service standards, and represent the community with a polished and respectful presence in a fast paced, high end setting. Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle • Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards • Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons • Aid customers, employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner Possess valid Florida Class D and G security licenses • High School Diploma or equivalent • Strong customer service skills • S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States • Must be able to successfully complete all training required for the position Indoor and outdoor assignments.

Environmental Exposure: Ability to perform duties in both indoor and outdoor settings. Ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing), walk for extended periods, traverse the property, or move between posts for the duration of an 8-hour shift, or as operationally required.

Emergency Response: Must be able to react quickly to emergency situations, which may include running, climbing stairs, or navigating obstacles.

• Sensory Abilities: Must have the visual acuity to monitor CCTV and observe surroundings, and the auditory ability to respond to alarms and communicate via two-way radio or telephone.
• This is typically required only in response to emergency situations, the relocation of safety equipment (e.g., fire extinguishers, traffic cones), or the removal of hazards from the property.
• Ability to clearly exchange information, provide instructions, and draft written reports in English.
