EDUCATION PROGRAM SPECIALIST with Security Clearance
Department of the NavyDuties You will process and evaluate incoming college transcripts and conduct evaluations of coursework from colleges or universities to determine course applicability to degree programs, and post eligible transfer credit to student records.
You will post credits to student records, make recommendations to the academic registrar, post military evaluation results to student records, and load information into student information system and academic records.
You will assist advisors and other faculty with admissions questions, enrollment services information and answer telephone, respond to email enquiries.
You will maintain relationships with internal and external academic community and institutions and prepare reports and summaries and reply to inquiries using data and statistics.
You will ensure procedures, guidelines, and laws/regulations governing public employees, including but not limited to those related to document retention and destruction, and confidentiality are followed and maintained.
You will be required to possess knowledge of academic policies, curriculum, common course numbering, articulation agreements and maintain program requirements for Middle States Commission of Higher Education accreditation policies and standards.

This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final CONFIDENTIAL security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing evaluations of college transcripts and external credits; providing academic services and support (e.g. conducting evaluations of coursework, determining course applicability to degree programs, posting transfer credits to student records, advising and facilitating admission and enrollment of applicants and students); And utilizing computer and information systems for records management and/or correspondence.
