The Enterprise Cyber Security Cloud Security team plays a crucial role in collaborating with other security and cloud services teams to protect Ford's public cloud infrastructure. Together, we strive to identify and mitigate security risks within our cloud environments.

The Cloud Security team focuses on pinpointing, assessing, and recommending tools and strategies to enhance our security posture for Ford's public cloud environments. Our responsibilities also include managing various security services:

  • Developing Cloud Security Automation
  • Ensuring GCP/Azure Security Compliance
  • Implementing GCP VPC Service Control
  • Managing GCP Cloud Armor/Azure WAF

What you'll do...

  • Collaborate with team members to develop automated solutions for security workflows and audits.
  • Evaluate and identify necessary tools to address security vulnerabilities.
  • Work with EPEO Services teams for effective security gap remediation.

You'll have...

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in scripting and automation.
  • Proven experience with automation using scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Go, especially in API integration and security tool orchestration.
  • Strong familiarity with Git and GitHub for version control and collaborative development.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
  • Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles with tools like Terraform.
  • Knowledge of security best practices for GCP and Azure environments, along with familiarity with common web application frameworks.
  • Expertise in secure usage of GCP services such as VPCs, IAM, security groups, compute engine, and others.
  • Customer-oriented with strong teamwork skills.
  • A proactive learner with strong communication skills.
  • Analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Driven by results and comfortable working independently.
  • A commitment to quality and project deadlines.
  • Familiarity with agile project planning and documentation.

This position falls within salary grades 7-8.

Note: Visa sponsorship is not available.

This role is predominantly remote, except for Southeast MI residents, who may be required on-site up to four days a week near Dearborn, MI.
