Position Overview

This Work from Home position requires that you reside within 60 miles of an HCA Healthcare Hospital (located in FL, GA, ID, KS, KY, MO, NV, NH, NC, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA). At Parallon, you come first – supported by HCA Healthcare’s commitment of up to 300 million dollars in programs over three years. As a Product Architect Big Data Google Cloud Platform, you will design, develop, and support a scalable, modular GCP ecosystem that drives enterprise-wide analysis of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and support a GCP-based ecosystem for enterprise-wide data analysis.
• Bring new data sources into GCP, transforming and loading them into databases.
• Lead projects to deliver data initiatives on time.
• Collaborate closely with team members to execute development initiatives using Agile practices.
• Design, develop, deploy, and support software systems with a fit-for-purpose approach aligning with customer strategic plans and technology roadmaps.
• Participate in large-scale projects that cross multiple areas beyond the core team.
• Coach the team in test-driven development, continuous integration, and automated deployment.
• Participate in the administration, configuration, and maintenance of deployment processes and systems.
• Engage in technical discussions, rapidly prototype, and deliver just-in-time solutions.
• Gather requirements and construct solutions with minimal supervision.
• Drive continuous integration and continuous delivery automation pipelines.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, business, and IT leaders to address GCP/Big Data use cases.
• Ensure that the data warehouse complies with SOX guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• Strong understanding of best practices and standards for GCP application design and implementation.
• Two+ years of hands-on experience with the GCP platform, including components such as GCS, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Bigtable, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, and experience with unstructured data.
• Understanding of Lambda design architectures and real-time streaming.
• Proven practical experience in agile application development, file systems management, and DevOps practices utilizing short-cycle iterations.
• Expertise in planning, implementing, supporting, and tuning GCP ecosystem environments using various tools and techniques.
• Comprehensive knowledge of ideation, design, implementation, tuning, and operational support within the GCP ecosystem.
• Ability to integrate tools outside of the core GCP ecosystem.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in Information Technology and 3+ years in Data Engineering.
• 1+ year(s) of experience in healthcare is preferred.
