Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure solutions utilizing platforms such as Azure, Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Rackspace, and OpenStack.
• Implement automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, PowerShell, Bash scripting, and Jenkins to streamline deployment pipelines and system configurations.
• Manage virtualization environments including VMware, Citrix, Docker containers, Kubernetes clusters, and system hardening practices to ensure secure and reliable operations.
• Develop and optimize web services and APIs using RESTful principles for seamless integration across platforms.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement CI/CD pipelines supporting agile software development methodologies.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues proactively, and ensure high availability through effective system hardening and security measures.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architecture designs, deployment processes, and operational procedures aligned with IT infrastructure standards.

Skills

• Extensive experience with cloud computing platforms such as Azure, AWS (Amazon Web Services), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Rackspace, and OpenStack.
• Strong understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices architecture, SaaS (Software as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), and cloud development best practices.
• Proficiency in virtualization technologies including VMware, Citrix, Docker containers, Kubernetes orchestration tools, and system virtualization concepts.
• Solid knowledge of operating systems such as Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS), Windows Server environments; scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash (Unix shell), Python, Ruby; experience with system hardening techniques.
• Familiarity with database management systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle; expertise in SQL/T-SQL/PL/SQL for database operations.
• Experience with web services development using RESTful APIs; knowledge of NoSQL databases like MongoDB or similar is a plus.
• Expertise in DevOps tools including Jenkins, Git version control system; automation frameworks such as Ansible or Puppet; containerization with Docker; orchestration with Kubernetes; infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Strong understanding of network security protocols including VPNs; experience managing cloud security best practices is essential.
• Knowledge of application development languages such as JavaScript, Java, .NET frameworks (.NET Core), Node.js; familiarity with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) processes within Agile environments.
• Ability to implement system monitoring solutions for proactive issue resolution; experience supporting IoT integrations is advantageous.
