Are you passionate about building next-generation Android and embedded software platforms? We are seeking an experienced Senior Advanced Software Engineer – Android OS Architect to play a key role in designing, developing, and integrating complex software solutions for advanced connected and embedded devices. In this position, you will leverage your technical expertise to architect robust software systems, solve challenging engineering problems, and drive innovation across the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Define system requirements and software architecture for embedded and Android-based platforms.
• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions.
• Lead software integration activities across hardware and software layers.
• Support product certification, testing, verification, and validation efforts.
• Drive feature definition and technical roadmaps.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide customer-facing engineering support when required.
• Perform code development and reviews across multiple programming languages.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Ensure software quality, performance, reliability, and security standards are met.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in embedded systems architecture, system design, and software development, particularly with Linux and Android-based platforms.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience working with multi-core SoC architectures from leading semiconductor vendors.
• 5+ years of programming experience using C, C++, and Java.
• 5+ years of experience in Android application, platform, or SDK development.
• Strong understanding of Android architecture, including interactions between Framework, System Services, Middleware, HAL, Drivers, and Kernel layers.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Deep expertise in AOSP and Linux kernel internals, including hardware abstraction, interrupt handling, and custom kernel/module development.
• Strong debugging skills across system layers, including IPC, HAL implementations, drivers, and kernel interactions.
• Experience with Android Framework, Android Treble, AIDL/HIDL, and UI development.
• Knowledge of Android OS migration, system bring-up activities, security frameworks, and SELinux.
• Familiarity with low-level hardware components such as microcontrollers, sensors, and board-level peripherals.
• Experience with connected devices, IoT ecosystems, and mobile device management solutions.
• Understanding of software configuration management and change control processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities in complex technical environments.
