Android Engineer

Verkada is seeking a highly skilled Android Engineer to join their Mobile Core team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining the foundational systems and frameworks for high-performance mobile experiences, focusing on the "Native Systems Layer". Key responsibilities include evolving the Native Component Library using Jetpack Compose, improving developer experience through CI/CD optimization and test automation, building a robust networking stack, integrating with hardware via BLE/NFC/WiFi, and acting as a technical consultant for architecture evolution. This role involves tackling complex, deep-tech challenges that require a strong grasp of Android development, networking, and hardware integration.
