We are seeking a versatile Cloud Operations Analyst to join our Cloud Center of Excellence. This role sits at the intersection of cloud financial management, operational excellence, security, and governance across all four major hyperscalers — Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The successful candidate will help mature our multi-cloud practice, optimize cloud spend, strengthen our security posture, and serve as a key contributor to our cloud brokerage and governance functions.
Key Responsibilities
FinOps & Cost Optimization
Monitor, analyze, and report on cloud spend across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and OCI environments
Identify cost optimization opportunities including rightsizing, reserved instance/savings plan/committed use discount strategies, and elimination of waste
Partner with engineering and finance teams to build showback/chargeback models and drive accountability
Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses; track KPIs such as unit economics and cost per workload
Implement and refine FinOps practices aligned with the FinOps Foundation framework
BillOps & Financial Operations
Manage invoice reconciliation, billing accuracy, and dispute resolution across all four cloud providers
Administer enterprise agreements, EDPs, MCAs, and Oracle Universal Credits
Maintain tagging strategies and cost allocation models to ensure clean financial reporting
Coordinate with procurement on renewals, true-ups, and contract negotiations
SecOps & Cloud Security
Monitor cloud security posture using native tools (AWS Security Hub, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Google Security Command Center, OCI Cloud Guard) and third-party CSPM platforms
Triage security findings, support incident response, and drive remediation with engineering owners
Enforce identity, access, and key management standards across multi-cloud environments
Support compliance activities (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, or similar as applicable)
Governance & Compliance
Define and enforce guardrails, policies, and landing zone standards across clouds (AWS Control Tower, Azure Policy/Management Groups, Google Cloud Platform Organization Policies, OCI Compartments)
Maintain the cloud operating model, including account/subscription provisioning, naming conventions, and tagging taxonomy
Document standards, runbooks, and architectural decision records
Support audit and risk management activities
Cloud Brokerage Services
Serve as an internal advisor helping business units select the right cloud provider and services for their workloads
Operate the cloud service catalog and intake/request process for new cloud consumption
Facilitate procurement, onboarding, and lifecycle management of cloud accounts and subscriptions
Provide cross-cloud comparisons on cost, capability, and fit to inform sourcing decisions
Required Qualifications
4+ years of hands-on cloud operations experience, with working knowledge of all four major providers: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
Demonstrated experience in FinOps practices, including cost analysis, optimization, and reporting using tools such as AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, Google Cloud Platform Billing, OCI Cost Analysis, and/or third-party platforms (CloudHealth, Apptio Cloudability, Flexera, Finout)
Experience administering cloud billing, enterprise agreements, and chargeback/showback models
Solid understanding of cloud security operations, including CSPM, IAM, key management, and incident triage
Working knowledge of governance frameworks and policy-as-code (e.g., AWS SCPs, Azure Policy, Google Cloud Platform Org Policies, OCI IAM policies)
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and at least one of SQL, Python, or PowerBI/Tableau
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate technical detail for finance, security, and executive audiences
Preferred Qualifications
FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP)
Cloud provider certifications such as AWS Cloud Practitioner/Solutions Architect, Azure Fundamentals/Administrator, Google Associate Cloud Engineer, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Foundations/Architect
Security certifications (CCSP, CCSK, AWS Security Specialty, or equivalent)
Experience with ITSM platforms (ServiceNow), IaC (Terraform), and CI/CD pipelines
Experience operating a cloud servic
